My Time in Spain and Gibraltar

I’m back! After all of the jet lagg along with waking up at random hours of the morning, it is safe to say that I am feeling much better after my week. This would not be right if I did not talk about my  time in Spain along with crossing the border to Gibraltar. There are some many facts to learn about this country, one thing that is obvious is that Spain is a big country! Within the nine days of staying in Spain, my family and I travelled three cities, Granada, the city of Malaga, Benalmedina and Torremolinos, located in the province of Malaga along with heading to Gibraltar which is on the coast of Spain and also a British colony.  This was definitely a trip of a lifetime, so this would be a dishonour if I did not show you my view through pictures!

This is one of the main attractions for this island. Yes there were monkeys and no I did not pet them since we were warned that they bite. The people are super friendly there, the taxi drivers become your helpful friends. The shops close early, usually at 6 but there is plenty to do for the nightlife. Remember that if you are coming from Spain, you are crossing the border to be prepared to show your passports. Fun-fact: Gibraltar is not too far from Morocco!

The architecture was sublime in Granada… truly a work of art! The city reminded me like Toronto in terms of the the fast past, fashion and culture brought at the table. They had dancing and played drums. Talk about a vacation well spent! The photos below are in Alhambra which is one of the most viewed places in Europe. The history is intwined with the Muslim and Catholic  religion, who were constantly at a battle for years. This also goes to show you how some things will never change when it comes to religion and ego. I have yet to visit the popular palace but did not have the energy to wake up at 4 in the morning.

From the historic castle overlooking the popular bullfighting, to one of the oldest theatres in Malaga (Teatro Romano de Malaga), Spain did not have any shortage when peaking my curiosity.  Again you will  find many activities to do in this country.
